• An anticholinergic.
• A selective MI muscarinic acetylcholine receptor antagonist.
• Is able to discriminate between the MI (cortical or neuronal) and the peripheral muscarinic subtypes (cardiac & glandular).
• Exerts direct inhibitory effect upon the parasympathetic nervous system.
• Reduces the excessive dreaming and nightmares experienced by patients with schizophrenia.

Indications:

• Controls the associated extra pyramidal disorders caused due to central nervous system drugs such as anti psychotics.
